Our Personnel are extremely public relations conscious, wearing navy blue blazers (with a prominent security emblem on the breast pocket), medium gray slacks, light blue dress shirts, and coordinated accessories. Supervisory personnel, as well as all key positions, are in constant radio contact with one another. He or she is part of a team of professionals. They are the show manager's right arm. They are the show manager's personal security consultant, and when the show is over, they are the show manager's friend. In 1976 when Warren Maloney, the president, brought his lifetime of work in the law enforcement and security business into this company he also brought with him the heritage of three generations of family serving the San Francisco Police Department. Warren's father, Peter Maloney, was prominent member of the San Francisco Police Department, organizing the first police academy in San Francisco. Peter's brother Tom Maloney served as State Senator and was in the State Assembly for 36 years. Although Warren started his career as a history teacher and football coach at Sacred Heart High School he soon followed his father's footsteps, joining the SFPD. He later became Security Manager for Macy's of California, then for I. Magnin Co.. Then Warren took a position for the Hawaii based Castle & Cook, where he was in charge of security and safety for their facilities in California, Nevada, Washington, Oregon and Hawaii. Finally, Warren founded his own business in 1976, Maloney Security, Inc., and became the largest provider of trade show security in California. From the very beginning Maloney Security, Inc., became synonymous with Safety and Security with all convention centers in the bay area. Maloney Security has provided opening security for the Moscone Center, Oakland, Santa Clara, and San Jose Convention Centers to name just a few. As one show manager put it, Maloney Security, Inc., "...is the only viable security solution in the San Francisco Area." |
